Thrash Metal Party
Two Dutch thrash metal bands Grindpad and Razorblade Messiah deliver an evening of aggressive riffs, moshpits and spectacle at So What! in Gouda.
Grindpad are a thrash/death metal band from Utrecht, Netherlands, active since 2006. Starting out as a death-grind outfit, they evolved into one of the country's most prominent thrash acts, drawing heavily on Bay Area influences such as Exodus and Municipal Waste. Their debut full-length 'Violence' (2020) was released through German label Iron Shield Records, with cover art by Ed Repka - the artist behind iconic sleeves for Megadeth and Death. Their live shows are defined by the 'Sharkpit': a moshpit where inflatable sharks fly through the crowd.
Grindpad performed in May 2026 as headliner at the 'Thrash Attack' evening at the Blue Collar Café in Eindhoven, with the band once again bringing an sold-out moshpit with inflatable sharks to life.
On 21 March 2026, Grindpad organized their own festival for the second time, Sharkfest II, at dB's in Utrecht - to celebrate their twentieth anniversary.
In May 2025, Grindpad released a new release via Bandcamp under the name 'X-Mas Mosh'.
In October 2023, the EP 'Finger Collector Crew' was released via Iron Shield Records, the first release with new drummer Max Hendriks and again with artwork by Ed Repka, this time also on vinyl with the 'Sharkbite!' EP as a bonus.
