About
Green Lung are a stoner/doom metal band from South London, formed in 2017, comprising vocalist Tom Templar, guitarist Scott Black, bassist Joseph Ghast, organist John Wright and drummer Matt Wiseman. Their sound fuses Sabbath-heavy riffs with Hammond organ and lyrics rooted in British folklore, occult tradition and folk horror. Signed to Nuclear Blast, their third album 'This Heathen Land' (2023) hit number one on the UK Official Rock and Metal Album Chart; their fourth, 'Necropolitan', was recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer Tom Dalgety and released in September 2026.
