Geordie Greep + Knobil
Geordie Greep, frontman of Black Midi, performs with Knobil at Doornroosje Nijmegen.
Geordie Greep (born 1999 in Walthamstow, London) was the frontman and lead guitarist of Black Midi from 2017 to 2024, one of the most critically discussed bands of the London Windmill scene. After the band's dissolution he released his debut solo album 'The New Sound' on Rough Trade Records in October 2024, blending progressive rock, jazz-rock, samba and theatrical art pop. The record was widely acclaimed, reaching number two on Rate Your Music's best albums of 2024.
Greep announced an American tour of 18 shows in September 2025 in support of 'The New Sound'.
In the summer of 2025, Greep performed at festivals such as Way Out West (Göteborg) and Øyafestivalen (Oslo).
'The New Sound' was released on 4 October 2024 via Rough Trade Records and reached position 10 in the official UK Albums Chart.
Greep played two shows in the Netherlands in December 2024: in Amsterdam (Bitterzoet) and Nijmegen (Doornroosje).
