About

Froukje (Froukje Veenstra, born 4 September 2001 in Nieuwkoop) is a Dutch singer-songwriter who grew up in a musical family and studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory at sixteen. She broke through with the climate-themed single 'Groter Dan Ik' (2020) and quickly became one of the most talked-about voices in Dutch pop, known for poetic Dutch-language lyrics that blend personal emotion with social commentary. Her debut album 'Noodzakelijk verdriet' (January 2024) entered the charts at number one in both the Netherlands and Flanders, and in November 2025 she released the collaborative EP 'Frok en Stien' with S10. Her second solo album 'Kijk Je Naar Mij?' follows on 2 October 2026.
