Footloose

About

Footloose is a 1998 Broadway musical adapted from Herbert Ross's cult 1984 film of the same name. The book is by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow and songs including Kenny Loggins' iconic title track. It opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on October 22, 1998, ran for 709 performances, and received four Tony Award nominations. In the Netherlands, a major touring production in 2009 starred Kim-Lian van der Meij and William Spaaij.
