About

EYEHATEGOD are a sludge metal band from New Orleans, formed in 1988 by guitarist Jimmy Bower and vocalist Mike IX Williams. Their crushing blend of doom metal, hardcore punk and blues-drenched riffs laid the groundwork for the entire NOLA sludge scene and influenced countless bands. Six studio albums in, with A History of Nomadic Behavior (2021) as their latest, the band has spent most of the intervening years on the road.
