Extrawelt is a German electronic duo from Hamburg, formed by Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe. Since their 2005 debut 'Soopertrack' on James Holden's Border Community label, they have built a substantial catalogue spanning techno, trance and minimal, with Sven Väth's Cocoon Recordings as their main home. Their debut album 'Schöne Neue Extrawelt' (2008) was voted best album of the year by both Groove Magazine and Raveline, and their fifth studio album DYSTORTION followed in December 2025.
Extrawelt released their fifth studio album DYSTORTION on Cocoon Recordings, featuring fourteen tracks including a collaboration with Jimi Jules.
In 2026, several new singles were released, including 'Bettermaker', 'Moonster', '¡NO PASARÁN!' and 'Clipping Me Softly'.
The duo is scheduled for performances in 2026 at, among others, Gottwood Festival (UK), Grüne Sonne Festival (Germany) and Modus Festival in Hamburg.
