Exhorder is an American thrash and groove metal band from New Orleans, formed in 1985. They are often cited as an early influence on the groove metal sound that bands like Pantera would later bring to a wider audience. After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned in 2019 with the album Mourn the Southern Skies.
