The European Hanseatic Ensemble is a period-music group directed by German conductor and viol player Manfred Cordes, focused on the musical heritage of the Hanseatic League. Their programmes draw on the cultural exchange that flourished across the Hanseatic cities in the late medieval and early modern periods.
