Edwin van der Velde is the Utrecht-based musician behind Bragolin, a post-punk and dark wave project that layers baritone guitars, synths and shoegaze textures across several decades of influence, with lyrics drawn from post-apocalyptic and horror cinema. The project takes its name from Italian painter Giovanni Bragolin, known for his 'Crying Boy' paintings. The 2018 debut I Saw Nothing Good So I Left produced the dark wave floor staple Into Those Woods, which crossed 10 million streams in 2025. In 2026 Van der Velde released the third album I Don't Like What It Does to Me on Young & Cold Records and launched Bragolin's first-ever North American tour.
Bragolin announces a 30-show North American Hope Tour (September 3 - October 11, 2026) together with Carrellee - the first performances of the project on the North American continent.
The third album I Don't Like What It Does to Me is released on March 27, 2026 via Young & Cold Records, with vinyl and CD releases in April and an album release concert in Utrecht.
