Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, founded in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. Despite the name, the band plays garage rock, blues rock and hard rock - tongue firmly in cheek. They are known for four studio albums and a relentless live reputation, though their name became internationally synonymous with the November 2015 terrorist attack at the Bataclan in Paris, where 89 people were killed during their show.
