Dylan Moran is an Irish stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in 1971 in Navan, County Meath. He won the Perrier Comedy Award in 1996 and a BAFTA, and is internationally recognised as the grumpy bookshop owner Bernard Black in the British sitcom *Black Books*, which he co-wrote. Beyond stand-up, he has appeared in films including *Shaun of the Dead* and *Run Fatboy Run*, and in the series *The Witcher*. His comedy is built on existential laziness, alcohol and a deep mistrust of humanity, delivered with a sharp, poetic edge.
Dylan Moran announced his brand new show *Looking for Trouble*, with a European tour in September-October 2026 followed by an extensive UK tour.
Moran made his debut as a Shakespeare actor: he played Touchstone in Ralph Fiennes' production of *As You Like It* at the Theatre Royal Bath (15 August - 6 September 2025), alongside Dame Harriet Walter and Gloria Obianyo.
Moran brought his new Irish tour *Dolla Ho*, based on material he developed in the summer of 2024 during fifty try-out shows in 35 Irish cities.
Moran was Artist in Residence at the Galway Comedy Festival (22-28 October 2024).
