DJ Hell, born Helmut Josef Geier on 6 September 1962 in Altenmarkt an der Alz, Bavaria, is one of the most influential figures in European electronic music. DJing since 1978, he founded International Deejay Gigolo Records in 1997 - the label that helped shape the electroclash movement and launched artists including Miss Kittin and Fischerspooner. His sound draws on new wave, EBM, Detroit techno and post-punk, and he is widely credited as the conceptual originator of electroclash. In December 2025 he released the album NEOCLASH, revisiting that legacy through a contemporary lens.
DJ Hell released the album NEOCLASH digitally on December 12, 2025 via International Deejay Gigolo Records, with a limited 2×LP edition on January 16, 2026.
NEOCLASH, to which Donner Summer and Joyce Muniz also contributed, was named album of the month December 2025 by Ibiza Spotlight.
DJ Hell released the My House EP in July 2024 via the Mind Medizin label of Lady Tazz.
DJ Hell collaborated with ARTBAT and C.A.R. on the single 'Outline', released on International Deejay Gigolo Records.
