Dire Straits Experience
Tribute act Dire Straits Experience performs the classic songs and distinctive guitar sound of Dire Straits in Enschede.
The Dire Straits Experience is a tribute act built around Chris White, Dire Straits' former saxophonist, and singer-guitarist Terence Reis, who bring Mark Knopfler's legendary catalogue to the stage. White toured with the real band during the Brothers in Arms era in the mid-1980s, and formed this project after the 2011 charity reunion known as The Straits to keep the Dire Straits songbook alive on stages worldwide. The group has toured extensively across Europe, Australia and beyond and is widely regarded as one of the leading Dire Straits tributes.
The band plays at AFAS Live in Amsterdam for the first time on May 14, 2026 as part of The Long Highway 2026 Tour.
In November 2026, performances are scheduled in, among others, Enschede, The Hague, Venlo and Haarlem.
In 2025, the band released a special tribute to the Brothers in Arms world tour, exactly 40 years after the album's release.
