Digitalism are a German electronic duo from Hamburg, formed in 2004 by Jens 'Jence' Moelle and İsmail 'Isi' Tüfekçi. Their 2007 debut album 'Idealism', released on French label Kitsuné, broke them internationally by fusing French electro's jackhammer drums with the rockier aggression of New York's DFA scene. Over the years they have remixed Daft Punk, Depeche Mode and The White Stripes, and played festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza. In 2026 they released their fifth studio album 'Optimism', their first in seven years.
Digitalism released their fifth studio album 'Optimism' on May 29, 2026 via their own label Magnetism, together with Zebralution and Word & Sound.
The duo announced the Optimism Tour in March 2026, a European tour visiting cities such as Manchester, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin and Hamburg in October and November.
The first single from 'Optimism', 'Space Invaders', was released on March 26, 2026 as a preview of the new album.
In 2024, German rapper Zartmann sampled their track 'Pogo', which helped Digitalism reach a new audience.
Digitalism released the live album 'Idealism Live 2024 - London + Berlin' in 2024, a recording of their anniversary shows around their debut album.
