About
David Morales (Brooklyn, New York, 1961) is an American DJ, producer and remixer who built his reputation in New York's club scene during the 1980s and 1990s. He won the 1998 Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year and has produced or remixed over 500 records for artists including Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston. Together with Frankie Knuckles he co-founded Def Mix Productions, one of the most influential remix outfits in house music history. In 2018 he launched his own label DIRIDIM Records, through which he continues to release new music.
