Dave Vermeulen is a singer and guitarist from Helmond who co-founded the southern rock band Voltage in 2011. He came to national attention as runner-up in the 2015/2016 season of The Voice of Holland, losing to winner Maan, but deliberately chose to continue with his band rather than pursue a solo path. Voltage has since built a solid following in the Dutch rock scene, releasing five studio albums and performing at major festivals including Zwarte Cross, Bospop and Paaspop. NPO Radio 2 and Radio Veronica play the band regularly, and Voltage serves as the house band for the annual NPO Radio 2 Nationale Popquiz.
Voltage released the double live album 'Live At Tivoli' in 2026, recorded during the sold-out album release show at TivoliVredenburg Utrecht on April 13, 2024.
