Dan Shake, the stage name of London-based producer and DJ Daniel Rose-Weir, broke through in 2014 as the first artist without Detroit roots to be signed to Moodymann's Mahogani Music label. His debut record '3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin About U' became a house-floor staple, launching a prolific run of releases on labels including Black Acre, Sulta Selects Silver Service and his own Shake imprint. Drawing on funk, soul and disco - with nods to J Dilla and Fela Kuti - he has built a reputation as both a sharp producer and an infectiously enthusiastic DJ.
