About

Culture is a Jamaican roots reggae group founded in Kingston in 1976 by singer-songwriter Joseph Hill. Their debut album Two Sevens Clash (1977) is a landmark of the genre - Rolling Stone listed it as the only reggae album among the fifty all-time coolest records. After Joseph Hill died in 2006, his son Kenyatta Hill took over as lead vocalist, continuing the band alongside harmony singers Albert Walker and Telford Nelson.
