Erik Bosgraaf & Cordevento
Adventurous recorder virtuoso Erik Bosgraaf performs with his ensemble Cordevento at De Oosterpoort.
Ensemble Cordevento was founded around 2005/2006 by recorder player Erik Bosgraaf, guitarist Izhar Elias and harpsichordist Alessandro Pianu. The name is Italian for 'strings and winds', and the group works in two modes: as an intimate trio focused on 17th-century repertoire, and as a small baroque orchestra for 18th-century works, always on copies of historical instruments. The ensemble has appeared at leading European venues including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Konzerthaus Vienna, as well as festivals in Utrecht, Berlin, Moscow and Seoul.
Cordevento released the album 'Telemann: Chamber Music with Recorder' together with Erik Bosgraaf at Brilliant Classics.
The ensemble participated in the CD 'Adriana' with oboist Thiemo Wind and Erik Bosgraaf, released in January 2024.
Recorder player Erik Bosgraaf, artistic director of Cordevento, became artistic director of the London International Festival of Early Music in 2024.
Cordevento participated in the prestigious Rising Stars series with performances in major European concert halls.
