Riffsniffer presents: Colour Haze + Smokemaster
German psychedelic rock band Colour Haze performs with Smokemaster at Baroeg, presented by Riffsniffer.
Colour Haze are a psychedelic stoner rock band from Munich, founded in 1994 by guitarist and vocalist Stefan Koglek. Over fourteen studio albums - released on Koglek's own Elektrohasch Schallplatten label - they have grown into one of the most respected acts in European heavy psych. Their sound weaves heavy guitar riffs with jazzy grooves and cosmic textures, and their live sets are known for extended, hypnotic jams. Around 2022 the band expanded to a four-piece, adding bassist Mario Oberpucher and keyboardist/synthesist Jan Faszbender alongside the long-standing core of Koglek and drummer Manfred Merwald.
Colour Haze released 'To The Highest Gods We Know (reworked 2024)' in March 2025 - a reworked version of their 2014 album, featuring new arrangements and strings.
The band celebrated their 30th anniversary with an extensive European tour in 2024 and early 2025, including support from Josiah and El Padre El Don.
Colour Haze performed at Desertfest Antwerp 2025 on October 18 at Trix, Antwerp.
With their fourteenth studio album 'Sacred' (September 2022), the band introduced a renewed quartet lineup, with Mario Oberpucher as new bassist and Jan Faszbender as permanent keyboardist.
