Cloonee is the alias of British DJ and producer David Bissett (Sheffield, 1995), who has made a significant mark on the global tech-house scene with sample-driven tracks drawing on hip-hop, dancehall and Latin music. He broke through in 2019 with his first Beatport #1, 'Be Good to Me', and later founded his own imprint, Hellbent Records. Appearances at Coachella, the Brooklyn Mirage and European festival circuits including Ushuaïa Ibiza have cemented his status as one of the genre's most in-demand acts.
Cloonee announced his debut album 'Are You Still You?' which will be released on October 6, 2026 via Good Music For Bad People and Hellbent Records.
'Good Girl', the collaboration with Prospa and Tristan Henry that came out as the first single from the album, reached number 1 position on Beatport within days.
'XTC', the first single of 2026 on Hellbent Records, is based on a sample from Jocelyn Enriquez and was tested live for more than a year before the release.
NME included Cloonee in its C25 list of artists to watch, partly thanks to two sold-out headline shows in Los Angeles.
Beatportal named Cloonee Artist of the Month for April 2025, with his ability to blend diverse musical influences into danceable tech-house being central.
