China Crisis are a British new wave and synth-pop band from Kirkby, near Liverpool, founded in 1979 by vocalist/keyboardist Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. Signed to Virgin Records in 1982, they scored several UK top-40 hits, most notably 'Wishful Thinking' (1984) and the Walter Becker-produced 'Flaunt the Imperfection' (1985). Over four decades on, the duo remains active, with their music appearing in the film 'Gone Girl', Netflix's 'Sex Education', and sampled by artists including French Montana and Action Bronson.
