Castle
About
Castle is an American doom metal band from San Francisco, formed in 2009 by singer/bassist Liz Blackwell and guitarist Mat Davis, later joined by drummer Mike Cotton. The trio debuted in 2011 with 'In Witch Order' and gained wider recognition with the follow-up 'Blacklands', which earned a Canadian JUNO Award nomination in 2012. Since then Castle has built a reputation as a relentless touring act rooted in classic 1970s doom and heavy metal, with recent releases including 'Evil Remains' (2024) and 'Carrie Chains' (2026) via Hammerheart Records.
