Cassy (born Catherine Britton) is a British-Austrian DJ, producer and label head with over two decades in the international house and techno scene. She built her reputation through residencies at Panorama Bar, Trouw and DC-10, a stint at Berlin's Hard Wax record store, and releases on Perlon, Ostgut Ton and Aus Music. Her 2016 debut album 'Donna' came out on Aus Music, and in 2017 she launched her own imprint Kwench Records. After a deliberate step back in 2020, she returned with renewed energy and fresh output.
Cassy released 'It's Time' on Kwench Records - the label's 40th release - on vinyl and digitally.
'It's Time' was released digitally on August 22, 2025 via Kwench Records (KWR040), followed by the official vinyl release on September 5.
Cassy performed a DJ set at MUTEK Montréal and presented her latest Kwench releases to an international audience.
Cassy released two EPs on Kwench Records - 'E.T. Ascension' and 'Château Dance' (with Fred P) - as part of her artistic comeback.
Cassy withdrew from the scene in 2020 and moved to Austria to recover, before reviving her career.
