Broederliefde
Broederliefde presents an evening of music, personal stories and friendship at De Meervaart.
Broederliefde are a Rotterdam hip-hop group from the Spangen neighbourhood, made up of five rappers: Emms, Jerr, Sjaf, Edson and Mella. Childhood friends who grew up playing football together, they started making music around 2011, blending Dutch-language rap with Caribbean rhythms. Their 2016 album Hard Work Pays Off 2 spent fourteen weeks at number one on the Dutch album chart, breaking a thirteen-year-old record, and the single 'Jungle' became the most-streamed track in the Netherlands that year. They have since established themselves as one of the country's most successful hip-hop acts, with multiple platinum records and sold-out arena shows.
Broederliefde will perform on September 24, 2026 at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam with their first theater show, 'Welcome to the House of Broederliefde'.
After a Broederliefde performance in Rotterdam Ahoy, two people were injured in a stabbing; police searched for one perpetrator.
Broederliefde performed their show 'House of Broederliefde' on Boxing Day in Rotterdam Ahoy, a new major production following the sold-out 'The 1000th' in 2024.
Broederliefde went on a club tour through the Netherlands in early 2025 with 'The 1000th'-tour, visiting cities such as Alkmaar, Eindhoven, Enschede, The Hague, Amsterdam, Groningen, Utrecht, Zwolle and Tilburg.
The album 'Lost & Found' was released in 2024 as the most recent studio work by the group.
