Bragolin is a Dutch dark wave/post-punk project from Utrecht, led by Edwin van der Velde, who layers Bass VI baritone lines, synths, and shoegaze guitars into a sound drawing on influences from the 1960s through the 1990s. Lyrics are rooted in post-apocalyptic and horror cinema; the name references Italian painter Giovanni Bragolin, known for his 'Crying Boy' paintings. The 2018 debut I Saw Nothing Good So I Left produced the dancefloor staple 'Into Those Woods', which passed ten million streams in 2025. The third album, I Don't Like What It Does to Me, followed in March 2026 on Young & Cold Records.
Bragolin plays from September 3 to October 11, 2026 the 30-show North American Hope Tour - their first ever performances on the North American continent, together with Carrellee.
