URBN Indoor Festival in Eindhoven with Boef, Jonna Fraser, and Mensa. A night of hip-hop and rap at Vibes.
Boef, the stage name of Sofiane Youssef Samir Boussaadia (born 28 February 1993 in Aubervilliers, France), is a Dutch-language rapper of Algerian-French descent who grew up in Eindhoven and Alkmaar. He broke through in 2015 with a Zonamo Entertainment session and quickly became one of the most-streamed rappers in the Netherlands, blending street-level Dutch lyrics with North African musical influences. His debut album Slaaptekort (2017) set a Dutch Spotify streaming record on release day, surpassing the previous record held by Ed Sheeran. Beyond music, he has built a profile as a vlogger and entrepreneur.
Boef became involved in a public conflict with Telegraaf editor-in-chief Kamran Ullah, after he fled Dubai with his family via Oman during Iranian attacks on airspace.
Boef announced via Instagram Stories that he would release at least one new album in 2026 and claimed that the Dutch rap scene cannot survive without him.
His album Luxeprobleem debuted directly at number 1 in the Dutch Album Top 100 and remained in the chart for 41 weeks.
