Blue Grass Boogiemen are a bluegrass quartet from Utrecht, active since 1990, who started out busking in the city centre and grew into one of the Netherlands' most respected roots acts. Playing entirely acoustic - mandolin, banjo, guitar, upright bass and fiddle - they combine virtuosic ensemble playing with close harmonies rooted in early bluegrass tradition. Their reputation extends well beyond the Netherlands: they have played the Station Inn in Nashville, the Continental Club in Austin, and toured as backing band for Byrds legend Chris Hillman.
The band performed on July 5, 2026 at the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival on the Noordplein in Rotterdam.
