About

Bloc Party are a British indie rock band formed in London by vocalist and guitarist Kele Okereke and lead guitarist Russell Lissack. Their 2005 debut Silent Alarm was named NME Album of the Year and nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, cementing their place as one of the defining acts of the 2000s British indie scene. Their sound blends angular post-punk guitar work with electronic textures and introspective lyrics. In 2026 they release their seventh studio album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, produced by Trevor Horn.
