Blind Channel
Finnish metal band Blind Channel returns to Melkweg with their new album 'Painstream'. After eighteen months away, they present their most honest and ambitious record yet.
Blind Channel is a Finnish nu-metal band from Oulu, formed in 2013. They describe their sound as 'violent pop' - a blend of metal, pop and rap drawing on influences like Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars. The band broke through internationally at Eurovision 2021, representing Finland with 'Dark Side' and finishing sixth. After an 18-month hiatus that included the departure of vocalist Joel Hokka, they returned in August 2026 with their sixth studio album 'Painstream' announced for October 30.
Blind Channel released the new single and music video 'Stars We See', the third preview of the upcoming album 'Painstream', and simultaneously opened ticket sales for the European tour of 2027.
After one and a half years of silence, Blind Channel announced their return with the sixth studio album 'Painstream', which will be released on October 30, 2026 via Century Media Records, and an extensive European headliner tour in spring 2027.
Singer Joel Hokka announced in April 2025 that he is permanently leaving the band due to persistent sleep problems that made touring impossible.
In October 2024, the band announced they would take an indefinite break.
The fifth studio album 'Exit Emotions' was released on March 1, 2024 via Century Media Records.
