Black Doldrums are a London-based trio built around the creative and personal partnership of Kevin Gibbard (guitar/vocals) and Sophie Landers (drums/vocals), with a bassist completing the lineup. Their gothic post-punk draws on darkwave, shoegaze and analogue synths, and has earned praise from Rolling Stone and Uncut for its cinematic intensity. All three of their studio albums - released via Fuzz Club - form an interconnected trilogy exploring the psychological forces that shape identity, memory and human connection.

The band announced their third studio album 'Repetition Compulsion' and shared the lead single 'Repetition', which explores the theme of the inevitability of repetitive behavioral patterns.
'Repetition Compulsion' will be released on 13 November 2026 via Fuzz Club and concludes the three-part 'State of Mind Trilogy'.
The second album 'In Limerence' was released on 18 October 2024 via Fuzz Club, produced by Theo Verney.
Black Doldrums performed on 8 May 2025 at the Patronaat in Haarlem, as part of their extensive European tour.
