Bettie Serveert is an Amsterdam-based indie rock band formed in 1990 around vocalist and guitarist Carol van Dijk and guitarist Peter Visser. Their 1992 debut album Palomine earned them international acclaim - The Guardian called it a high point for European guitar music - and launched extensive tours of the US and Europe alongside acts like Belly, Dinosaur Jr. and Jeff Buckley. Now in their fourth decade, the band continues to release new music and tour the Netherlands.
Bettie Serveert released the new single 'Evil Side' on January 23, 2026.
The band announced in April 2026 an extensive Dutch tour - the first full tour since 2018 - with shows from November 2026 to December 2027.
On July 1, 2025, the single 'Ta!' appeared, a rewritten song from an earlier Australian project by Carol van Dijk and Peter Visser.
In March 2025, the band played a sold-out special concert at pop venue Nieuwe Nor in Heerlen, as the closing event of the Andy Warhol exhibition Vanitas at Schunck.
In 2023, the band celebrated the 30th anniversary of Palomine with sold-out shows, and Matador Records reissued the album on transparent orange vinyl.
