About
August Burns Red are an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, active since 2003. Known for technical guitar interplay, shifting time signatures and Christian lyrical themes, they built their reputation through albums like Messengers (2007) and Leveler (2011). The current lineup - vocalist Jake Luhrs, guitarists JB Brubaker and Brent Rambler, bassist Dustin Davidson and drummer Matt Greiner - has been stable since 2006. The band received Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance in both 2016 and 2018.
