Arkona is a Russian folk metal band formed in Moscow in 2002, fronted by vocalist Masha "Scream". They blend heavy metal with Slavic folk traditions, pagan themes and traditional instruments. Albums such as Goi, Rode, Goi! and Slovo brought them a solid following outside Russia.
