And So I Watch You From Afar + Caspian
Post-rock evening featuring And So I Watch You From Afar and Caspian at Doornroosje Poppodium.
And So I Watch You From Afar are a Northern Irish post-rock band from Belfast, formed in 2005 in County Derry. The four-piece - guitarists Rory and Ewen Friers, guitarist Niall Kennedy, and drummer Chris Wee - builds instrumental music from dense guitar layers and shifting time signatures, drawing on hardcore, math rock and post-rock. Their 2009 self-titled debut established them in the European post-rock scene, and they have since built a devoted following through relentless touring across Europe, North America and beyond. Their seventh studio album, Megafauna, appeared in August 2024.
The band tours through Europe and the United Kingdom in October and November 2026 together with American post-rock band Caspian, with shows in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Prague, Vienna, London, Dublin and Galway.
The seventh studio album Megafauna was released on 9 August 2024 via Pelagic Records and received critical acclaim, including an 8/10 from Hot Press and The Irish Times.
The band performed at Pelagic Fest in Maastricht on the occasion of the label's 15th anniversary.
The single 'Do Mór' was released on 17 May 2024 as a precursor to Megafauna.
The sixth album Jettison was released on 18 February 2022 as an ambitious multimedia piece with spoken text by Emma Ruth Rundle and Neil Fallon.
