Herrie Festival
Herrie Festival returns to Alkmaar with a day of extreme metal: death metal, grindcore and industrial featuring headliners like Anaal Nathrakh and Kraanium.
Anaal Nathrakh are a British extreme metal duo from Birmingham, formed in 1999 by multi-instrumentalist Mick Kenney and vocalist Dave Hunt. They weld black metal, grindcore, industrial and death metal into a relentlessly chaotic sound that has few peers in the genre. Eleven studio albums on Metal Blade Records have cemented their reputation as one of Europe's most uncompromising extreme metal acts. The band's name is Irish for 'snake's breath', drawn from Merlin's incantation in John Boorman's 1981 film Excalibur.
Anaal Nathrakh performed in July 2026 at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.
The band is on the bill in August 2026 at the Alcatraz Metal Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium.
In August 2026 the band also performs at the Motocultor Festival in Carhaix, France.
In November 2026 a performance is scheduled at HAL 25 in Alkmaar.
In June 2025 the band performed at the Download Festival in Castle Donington, England.
