Alina Sharipova (Tashkent, 1992) is a stand-up comedian who grew up in West Flanders, Belgium, and turned to comedy after studying law at Tilburg University. In February 2026 she won the jury prize at the Leids Cabaret Festival, one of the Netherlands' most established launchpads for new comic talent, and has been a regular at Comedy Club Haug in Rotterdam since 2023. Her style - dark, vulnerable and sharp - draws on her immigrant background, a childhood in poverty, and the experience of living between two cultures, performing in both Dutch and English.
Sharipova signed with talent agency De Mannen and announced that she will tour with her own show during the 2027/2028 theater season.
The magazine Univers of Tilburg University published an extensive portrait of Sharipova as an alumna, two months after her victory at the Leiden Cabaret Festival.
On 14 February, Sharipova won the jury prize at the Leiden Cabaret Festival 2026 in a sold-out Leiden Theatre; the jury praised her timing and the way she involves the audience in her act.
After the final, the three finalists toured more than forty theaters in the Netherlands, with three additional evenings at the Leiden Theatre in June 2026.
In 2022, Sharipova was named 'One to Watch' by Funny Women and also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that year.
