Time Bandits
Time Bandits, led by Alides Hidding, brings their classic hits spanning over 45 years of career to the stage.
Alides Hidding (born 30 January 1954 in Schoonoord) is a Dutch singer, guitarist and songwriter, and the sole permanent member of Amsterdam band Time Bandits, which he founded in 1981. Blending disco, funk, soul and rock with his distinctive falsetto, the band scored international hits in the 1980s across the Netherlands, the US, Australia and New Zealand - 'I'm Only Shooting Love' reached number one in New Zealand in 1984. After a stint in Los Angeles writing for artists including Jennifer Rush and Dan Hartman, Hidding returned to touring and continues to perform as Time Bandits.
Hidding (71) re-recorded his biggest hit 'Live It Up' together with the Nederpop All Stars and is filling concert halls again with it.
Hidding returned to his native village Schoonoord for an interview and a small performance at café Jor's Haven, at the invitation of the local library.
Hidding performed at the Rocktober Festival 2024 in Hengelo as Time Bandits.
From 2024 onwards, Hidding performs as Time Bandits with a rotating backing band.
Hidding started touring Dutch theaters with the Nederpop All Stars under the name 'Nacht van de Nederpop', together with Lois Lane, Henk Westbroek, Erik Mesie, Nol Havens and Hans de Booij.
