About

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a three-act ballet choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, with a scenario by Nicholas Wright and a score by Joby Talbot. It premiered on 28 February 2011 at the Royal Ballet in London - a co-production with the National Ballet of Canada - and was the first full-length narrative ballet the Royal Ballet had commissioned in over twenty years. Talbot's score blends contemporary soundscapes with melodies that nod to the great 19th-century ballet tradition, while Bob Crowley's designs range from puppetry to large-scale projections. The work has since entered the repertoire of leading companies around the world.
