Ali Campbell (Birmingham, 1959) is the British singer and guitarist who co-founded UB40 in 1978 and fronted the band for three decades. His voice defined hits such as "Red Red Wine" and "Kingston Town". After leaving in 2008 and a legal dispute over the band name, he now performs as the frontman of UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, keeping the original reggae sound alive. He holds an Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement and multiple Grammy nominations.
