About

Alex Henry Foster is a Canadian musician, producer and composer from Montreal, best known as the former frontman of Juno Award-nominated post-rock band Your Favorite Enemies. Going solo with his band The Long Shadows, he crafts dense, emotionally charged music that blends post-rock with spoken word and poetry. His debut album "Windows in the Sky" (2018) was largely written during a self-imposed exile in Tangier following his father's death. Beyond music, he is a human rights advocate and entrepreneur who co-owns Hopeful Tragedy Records and opened the Drummond Vinyl record pressing plant in 2023.
