At 71, regional taxi driver Sjef drives the same route through South Limburg every morning. He picks up his regular passengers - people who depend on his rattling minibus for their appointments and their fragile connection to the outside world. He gives rhythm and meaning to their days, and they do the same for him.

When Sjef is dismissed with immediate effect and must hand in his keys and bus, he picks up his passengers one last time. At the crossing where he normally turns right, he steps on the gas and drives straight ahead. What follows is an unplanned, sometimes dangerous journey in which his elderly and vulnerable passengers prove surprisingly resilient. Industrial landscapes slowly give way to sweeping vistas, while the group grows smaller along the way. What begins as an impulsive decision grows into a journey that stirs something in everyone - and gives Sjef the courage to begin the rest of his life.

Prosecco Première

For the release, every visitor receives a glass of Prosecco. A ticket costs € 12.50 and includes this welcome drink. Doors open at 19:30, the film starts at 20:00 and is expected to end at 22:00. From age 12 onwards.
