Lenneke Ruiten and Thom Janssen - Debussy and Brahms

Soprano Lenneke Ruiten and pianist Thom Janssen perform in Eindhoven on Sunday, 20 September, with a programme of songs by Debussy and Brahms. This is one of two Dutch dates on which the soprano and her pianist present this repertoire. Debussy's refined, impressionistic songs stand in sharp contrast to the romantic directness of Brahms - a programme that lets both composers speak in their full voice. Ruiten and Janssen bring these two very different approaches to the lied together in a single evening.
