Music Film Festival

On 18 September, Paradox in Tilburg screens a documentary about Tilburg trumpeter Teus Nobel as part of the Music Film Festival. The album Child's Play, recorded in winter 2025, is released in September 2026 alongside the film. One ticket grants access to both the documentary and the concert that follows.

After the screening, there will be an interview with filmmakers Simon Sixsmith and Steven Denniss and with Teus Nobel himself. Nobel then performs a full concert with his band, featuring bassist Jasper Høiby and drummer Niek de Bruijn. Guitarist Jerome Hol replaces regular guitarist Teis Semey for this evening.

Child's Play is inspired by Nobel's children Bix (6) and Charlie (3). The documentary follows him through a difficult period: his wife's illness, fatherhood, and his artistic ambitions. Sixsmith and Denniss create an intimate portrait of a musician who continues to create, even when life is at its hardest.
